I use NOD32 v4 and it works really well, BUT I did go through a stage of BSOD, I ran the system restore and found that it all started when Windows Defender had been updated, I restored to before this point and set updates to manual and it was fine for ages.

Since then I have installed that update and it has been fine, and since then I have had several more and they have been fine.

    Odd

    Edit
    this was on RTM.

I Run Windows 7 32bit and have had trouble with Kaspersky 2010, Nod32 And Avira.Premium.Security.Suite.9.0.0.377. Now i run MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS wich works GREAT so far.

Avira.Premium.Security.Suite 9 works good once you disable web guard.

    changed my mind

dont think its out to do with antivirus now cos I,ve tried a few different ones but I think ive narrowed it down to my external hard drive cos every time I try and move data there my system crashes and bsod has anyone come accross this before. It worked fine in vista so now I'm really confused and any help would deffo be a start thanks for all your answers and support
