Your PC are they desktop computers? Are they connected to a domain? Also try loading back the BIOS default settings and try to use the ISO once more and see what happens
I am having similar problems, i tried disabling secure boot but same error. It seems this problem began with build 10140. People on another forum saying "... June 2015 Intel CPU microcode update for Windows (KB3064209) is the cause of this issue. KB3064209 is optional windows update to Windows 7 SP1, 8.1 etc but in Windows 10 it's integrated to installation files since build 10158. "
Thanks for the above link but it is for error code 0xC1900101-0x4001. Also i tried installing in a clean hard drive but same error.
Guys, I've spent a few days since the 10240 came out trying to upgrade my laptop with the same result, Initially I tough was a corrupted ISO or ESD, the BIOS was the problem. Disable Safe Boot, put UEFI to LEGACY, and disable Execution Prevention. After that the upgrade went well. You can re-enable afterwards. Cheers
If you install with the BIOS set to legacy it won't boot if you reset the BIOS back to UEFI. This is a real concern because I understand that Microsoft is making UEFI mandatory for new systems with Windows 10. Maybe things will work with the new BIOS's and yours didn't because it originally came with 8 or 8.1. I would assume that your system came with win 8 or 8.1 since almost all those systems had a choice to switch back to the legacy BIOS. Is that correct?
I've been stuck with that 0xC1900101-0x20017 error on one of my Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition G3258 systems. Looking around online I see that I'm not alone with this problem.
The problem is inherent to some of the windows system files themselves. Clean installs will never correct this error.
Would try a clean install but i need to know its going to upgrade from 8.1 to 10 when use my retail key Dont want to loose the working Build 10162 that's on it now
