Thanks, bisdak. The process started fine but, during the course of it, files 08, 16, 19, 21, 23 and 35 were flagged as 'corrupt' and I ended up with an empty folder. Has anyone used these links successfully? I presume they must have as no-one else has queried them... Problem sorted - I re-downloaded the 'corrupt' files and the extraction then went smoothly. Must've been some bad downloads. Thanks again bisdak for pointing the way with that strange looking set of winrar's.
That is not a problem. There are people that archive files with .rar being the beginning file for extraction. Some do .rar. -> .r00 -> .r01 Some just do .r00 -> .r01 It's all upon whom packed it.
My best advice is that if you are going to download parts use a download manager because files can corrupt for any given reason. It's happened to me many times before and I ended up having to download those parts again. It's not worth the trouble IMO. That's why I used to get torrents instead of direct links for parts b4 i got FTP access.
