    Hey,

I used MSMG Toolkit to build a custom ISO of Windows 11, it's all working great but I can't install cumulative updates, it keeps failing with the error code: 0x800f0988, the updates I tried to install are:
    • 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022360)
    • 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022303)
Other updates are installed without any problems.

It must be a component I removed that is required to install updates, but I don't know what it is.

What are the required components I have to not remove so I can receive and install updates?

I'll repost my question in their thread, thank you.
For your ps, do you mean integrating it while making the custom ISO? if that's what you mean, it means that I will not be able to install future updates, right? I want to be able to always download new updates, so is there a better solution?

Here is my comment on their thread: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-1230#post-1775095, if you're interested to reply to me there, thanks again.

Why woudnt you be able to update Windows in the future? I do it every week..
I've had issues with an ISO from UUP but I customise it also but if you only integate updates it shoudnt cause issues

How would people know if your attempt at chopping crippled WU without knowing what buttons you pressed when chopping? Please continue this in the thread of the used tool and provide some usable info in there.

I don't mean integrating updates will cause issues in the future, what I mean is I already have issues with windows updates, because maybe a component that I shouldn't remove, but I did, so integrating an update will update Win11 for NOW, but if I will remove the same components, windows update will have problems again so I will not be able to download future updates
