1. Is the build 10240 which all the insiders received mid July the same which is getting pre-loaded just now to all the users across the world? 2. The only thing new is the day1 patch which gets installed during upgrade process? 3. So guys sitting on 10240 do not need to re-download the ESD or ISO for final code?
Yup, an anti-climax for some... altho' no-one in their right mind expected them to release a build that was not tested by Insiders... right? P.S: Actually what I'd like to know is whether OEM upgrades get a generic OEM key and if not how does that effect the EULA.
I have a slightly different question: I have upgraded from Insider Preview build 10166 to RTM 10240, then clean installed using the ISO converted from the ESD. This is what I'm using on my only desktop PC. (Build 10166 was previously clean-installed formatting partition.) But this PC has a valid and genuine Windows 8 Pro license which I'm not using (since coming from the Insider Preview). Here's the question: Do I have to go back to Windows 8.1 and upgrade to 10240 RTM or can I keep this fully activated Windows instead? License will be unused.
Yep, to get your free 10 license, you have to upgrade from genuine 7 or 8.1 first, then clean install Daz loader also works for 7
To use DAZ, do I need to use some special tweaking on it, or just 1 click activation and then upgrade to Windows 10?
