Hey guys.. I need a favor from someone far more talented than myself. I am about to embark on the scariest thing i have ever done...Go self employed and set up my own company. Thats where (hopefully) one of you guys come in, or someone to point me somewhere that people do this for the fun of it I need a business logo. I have a vision of what i want it to look like. I am a finisher by trade, and have a company name sorted already. The company name is called TopCoat Finishing Services (i guess topcoat would be the most prominent text) I want the T to be in the shape of a spraygun (spraying if possible). text color is down to the artist genius for the background colour, Left hand side to be green, going through the colour spectrum in this order fading from one to the other (similar to colour picker in windows..) Green / lime / yellow / gold. Any takers, or know anywhere i can get this done? Looked at a couple of graphic designers in my area, one wanted 900 bucks...yeah, new business with little cash flow buddy.... Thanks for looking guys.. C-W

I'll take up the challenge... No expert in graphic design but I do like to mess with photoshop,even dabble abit in Illustartor... See what i can come up with after my sleep.....Hate working nights..
Did you take that picture ? If so it would be pretty cool if you could take another pic but on adifferent background.. So the gun could be easily picked out the background should be a vivid colour and all one colour. maybe summet green. At least summet NOT dark or white....Pink ?that type... This will be fun. Good to see what different folk come up with... maybe if a few folk help out,you may like a bit done by one person and a bit done by somebody else and so on.Then they could be combined to come up with the best result for you..

The font can be changed. The font colour can be changed and the paint spray can be changed too...All quite easily.. I will upload the .psd file if anybody wants it......
Looking good dude Potential changes i see... Whats the possibility of fading from gold to white? Any way of incorperating the spraygun as a letter t for the first letter of Topcoat? Font something more square, futuristic almost... Other than that, impressed young padawan
Yep i will alter the font.....As for the gun becoming a letter "T"....I tried to sort of omit the T from the letters and read it but it just looked silly so i left it... What exactly do you want the card to say... Title Name email phone number What i was thinking....There might be a site or shop where you send them your design, front and back and they make it into a proffesional looking card. There might even be a bit of software so you can print on card say then turn it over and print on the back.Not sure... Are you planning on actually using this as you business card ? How about a small "tn" in the corner...... Will read this again when I get up and have a go at the changes...... Not sure on the size of the card either.... Glad you like what we have so far..... maybe able to do a little Illustrator work in getting a spray gun to look like a T but it wouldbe more styalised and less of a real image. Cant hurt to try...
Well been messing with the background... Was not quite sure if you wanted white adding after the gold along with the other colours or just having gold fade into white. I kept the original theme but added white at the end.. Is this better ? As for the font,I had a little search and found a few but to be honest if you have one in mind have a look round and send me a link.. These two fonts are called "Kitchen Police" and the bottom one is "Square Metal 7"......... That has a certain ring to it.. Anyhow..Have a look,see if it looks like owt your after..Then leave feedback... Will work on trying to make the gun look like a "T" Just to add the bottom font was only in capitols ???
Well I have been trying my hardest to make the gun into a T but alas my skils are lacking.. I have however got this result. Not sure if I like it so dont hold back. I have WARPED the gun into the letter T. Because I know what is was to start with I can still see the gun but folk might not see it ?? What you recon..
Work in progress.... Check out the background ? I left the warped gun for now ? Added some text and put some FX on it as well. A bit of drop shadow plus a bit of bevel and emboss work too.. Like ? heyyyyy who put that cheeky little "tn" there ??????
Looking Good fella...nice progress. Its there a way of having the gun not so warped so is a little fatter? Can the gold be more yellow gold, not orangery rose gold ? Fonts, I will have a look when I get in, se what I like. Its going to be, I hope, business card, letter head and all round business logo....
Oh, and of the two fonts you have, I prefer the to one. Can ya try that but in white with the emboss in yellow?
Ok.. Checkout the background.....Gold is lighter... Re - warped the gun,made it fatter. Using the top font "Kitchen Police" I added the text "opcoat"...... See what you think..
