I was wondering how do I access my local network from a VM (using VMware Version 11)?
I'm mainly wanting to access music, pictures & documents. I have 1 VM running windows 10
(working on updating to latest build) and another 1 running windows 8.1. I also have a few Linux VM.
Any way to access local network (or at least music) from them? Thanks for the help.

default settings they should already be accessible with normal Windows/Linux settings in the VM as a guest. The VM guest uses the host computers network.

I don't know about vmWare, but in Virtualbox you should set Bridged Adapter in Network Card settings

Yes you can - you just have to make a share on your host OS.

    What is your host OS?
