Can i Activate Windows 8.1 with Windows 8 Upgrade Key?

    I have the Windows 8.1 Disc all ready to go and i have a legitimate Windows 8 Professional Upgrade Key + a legitimate WMC Key too should it be needed.

    Is there a 100% Guaranteed to work method for me to use, to install and activate 8.1 RTM?

    i did a clean install, used the key from OP to start installer,
    activated with my win 8 upgrade key without issues.

    +1 done earlier for an upgrade from within win 8 pro wmc

    The real question is "Can I post in one of the existing Windows 8.1 activation threads instead of opening a new thread?". You know the answer to that one.

    I have done it both ways upgrading and clean install and both have worked for me
