I saw on youtube some guys format there computer manually,so i wonder if it´s true or not. They go to command and then write something like /s /h *.* /h /s
yes we can Windows key + R (or start menu -> run) CMD + Enter Format d: (if you want to format d: drive)
I tried this, but it writes ACCESS DENIED AS YOU DO NOT HAVE SUFFICENT PRIVILEGES YOU HAVE TO INVOKE THIS UTILITY RUNNING IN ELEVATED MODE
Is that everything i need to do? I know how to format with installation disk, but i dont have one now so im not sure how this goes. So,when i run it as administrator will it format right away, or do i need more to steps?
in w98, there was an command : Unlock / lock but don't exist anymore :s Sorry i have no idea (for the moment )

@ nero100, before you go formatting your hard drive is this a branded machine i,e, Dell, HP, Acer e.c.t did your computer come with windows 7 preinstalled you may have a recovery partition i suggest you try and learn more about your computer first before formatting also you need to get drivers e.c.t first.
