I read most of the stiky threads, but I can't understand a thing: actually I use Vista Loader 4.2, and I clicked on the "COMPAL" button, that is the manufacturer of my notebook. I ask, what if I chose another OEM, like Acer? Is it just the logo that changes?

My question could be non-sense, since the emulated SLIC table shows that the manufacturer is "Asus".

    Thanks for help.

I think when you click on an OEM logo button in Vista Loader 4.2 it re installs the loader as well as applying the OEM logo.

so it's just a matter of look, I could install the no-logo loader and any other logo.

Vista loader v2.1 would install the OEM logos separately from the Slic emulation installation. Also Hazar's new loader for Windows 7 does the same. You could use this to install The Oem logos in Vista but obviously not use the Slic emulation for Vista.
