hi its still not working its still saying diagnostic boot aarrrhhhh is there anythiing else i can do
to get dignostic boot its FN power.. not END power.. must be something wrong with keyboard ?
or memory or board.. dont think its bios issue.
if keyboard is not QWERTY then it wont work password generated
heres a description to a dif computer http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/26755-Dell-XPS-M1530-bios-recovery
hey, try resetting bios to factory defaults, you can then specify new pass.
how do i do that i can not get into my bios at all
have to try all the usb ports with usb flash stick for the bios recovery.
this works on acer aspire one also.. to bypass pwd.
Providing you know how... Open up your system and look for a battery it should be a shape similar to a penny or small coin and will have plus and minus on the sides , remove this and wait for 1 minute then put it back in and boot up again ...
Another option is see if you have a reset jumper at all in your system it may be in the documentation.
i rather do it bios recovery method.. less problems.
Removing the CMOS battery is the best way just make sure to unplug the ac adapter and remover the battery with every power source removed hold down th power button for 30 seconds then reassemble everything and you should be good to go..
