The reason i have asked is that i have 2 laptops that have not been able to mod yet. So is it possible that someone can create a sticky to show us which laptops and motherboards are the easiest to modify there bios for slic 2.1.

I know you guys do a good job already, but i would like to know this, as i may get rid of my two laptops, and get ones that can be modified easily for slic 2.1.

So any chance of a thread like that, for us noobs?

Maybe we could have a list where people can see, which laptop uses which bios software etc... so we can choose one that uses award or something, instead of insyde or something.

First of all post which models do you have and their bios version.

secondly Award and Ami bios are the easiest to mod.

I have a hp nc4200(complicated phoenix bios), plus acer travelmate 4150(complicated insyde bios). Seems like both have there difficult parts, and i would like to know what laptops use award etc... so if i sell these what laptop i could go for, that would be easiest from a point of a noob to modify.

I think a list of award and ami lappies would be handy, and listing ones that where difficult may be handy for others too. Like most of time it is hard to find out what bios software is on a laptop when you buy, as usually they are not listed in the information.

Both of the bios are really tough to mod , but real modders can do that as i too have the phoenix bios and busykid did that thanks to him .you can do a request for the desired bios in their original thread, as phoenix in phoenix thread, insyde in insyde thread done ............try it :)
