Question: Can microsoft deactivate emulated slic 2.1 activation and if so why haven't they done so yet?
They can't detect emulated SLIC's as they appear the same as BIOS SLIC's. It also helps if the SLIC you use matches your hardware, so for example a Dell SLIC should be used on a Dell system.
Very interesting, thanks for the reply's. Still an emulated SLIC is considered a "softmod". No? There has to be some running process when the computer first boots that if Microsoft really wanted they could detect. Will this be the same in Windows 8? But hey, if not that's truly amazing. Thanks for the loader DAZ, I have it on 20+ personal machines with no problems what so ever.
Since it can be deleted if you format your system like any software can be then it's considered a softmod. The loader runs before Windows and then exits leaving no trace of it behind to say that any tables were modified. It's just a poor design on MS's part
yeah and an awesome design on your part, DAZ it amazes me how boot monitoring never finds it either. i would have thought that technically your loader would be something like a "rootkit" but it's never detected at all by anything that i've tried. you are a genius
