i have 2 machines 1 running xp and 1 running on vista. when i try accessing the root drive..ie \\192.168.1.102\c$ from my xp machine to vista it asks for a password after entering the password it will show the contents of my crive. but on my vista machine when i am accessing the root drive of my xp machine it asks me for a username and password also but when entering logon details it shows me everytime that my login is unsuccessful. i cant make it work i know im typing the correct username and password of the administrator but it not getting authenticated. 2 machines also are on the same workgroup. any ideas? i tried to google it but it cant find solution either. please help?
