Have the same copy of Win 7 Ultimate on my computer and my wife's. Have no problems with mine but if she allows her machine to sit idle for a long time, it is virtually frozen when she comes back. I say virtually because it usually does respond to requests after a looong time. Say she clicks on a program icon. The program usually launches after a couple of minutes, but not always. If it starts up, the machine will then work ok. If she manually puts the machine in "standby" mode, it works just fine when she returns. If it just sits, or puts itself into "standby", it freezes up. I thought it might just be the hard drive taking a long time to start up but I have set it to never shut down on it's own and she still has the same problem. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Any way to fix it?
