Cannot change account password on Win 8.1.

    My PC is running win 8.1. The problem is I can't change my user account password. Whenever I try to change, I get this error:

    At the same time, I can't open Apps that require my password - such as Skype, People, Mail. But however, other Apps like Weather, Maps, Travel are running good.

    Is there a way to fix this?

    Log in through a browser to your live account and change the password there.

    same problem with user acc like on MDL: no name > no way to go :p

    Enable the services.

    Founded a fix:

    Ensure that you have the following services running on your PC, and if they are not, open "Services"(from taskmgr --> "Services" tab --> Open Services link ), change their startup type to "Automatic" from their properties:

    Services:
    1. Background Intelligent Transfer Service and
    2. Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant.

    then restart your PC and try again.
