1.Why are you using a 32 bit version of IE9????????????? Upgrade it...... 2.Use other browsers like GC,FF etc...they are really fast, as well as good..... 3.Use a download manager to download files, like IDM....it's good..........
Turn off "SmartScreenFilter" in your internet options. What is smart screen filter -> xxxx://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows7/SmartScreen-Filter-frequently-asked-questions-IE9 Sorry can't post full links due to post count. Just replace the xxxx with http.
Well, you can only install 64-bit IE9 installer in 64-bit Windows 7. Having done that, you have both 32-bit IE9 and 64-bit IE9. 32-bit IE9 is slightly faster than its 64-bit counterpart, as it has a much better Javascript engine. That is why I am using 32-bit IE9, instead of 64-bit one. Yes, I primarily use IDM to download file. However, when IDM cannot capture the links (attachments, etc.), I have to rely on IE 9 download manager to do so. Regarding SmartScreen Filter, I did try to turn it off, but the downloaded files may still be deleted without my prompt. I really hope that there are some ways to force download the files without it being deleted. Sigh.
