Hi, I just reinstalled Windows 10 and formatted and erased everything. Now that I'm done, I see my copy is Windows 10 Home. I want Pro and had that before. My Pro product key I bought from eBay is not working. In settings > activation or cmd using slmgr. I trieds slui.exe 4 and called Microsoft but they activated Windows 10 Home. I tried MTK but I'm not sure how to activate Pro and not Home or Enterprise etc... Add-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "'%LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\SppExtComObjHook.dll'", "%WINDIR%\AutoKMS", "%WINDIR%\Temp\SppExtComObjHook.dll" is not working in powershell. I tried: Run MS Toolkit as an administrator: Right-click on the MicrosoftToolkit.exe and select "Run as Administrator" Click on the "Office" or "Windows" icon. Click on the "Settings" button in the lower right corner. Click on the "LocalHost Bypass" tab. Click on the "Use Tap Adapter" radio button. Click on the "Save" button. Click on the "Activation Tab" Click on the "EZ-Activator" button. Wait until the black window reports it is activated. but it activates Home. How do I activate Pro or use my key I bought? I see the options in MTK but I don't know how to get them to work. So, how do I activate Pro? Please reply. Thanks
Hey I've got a question, I was trying to reinstall windows 10 LTSB on my MSI Raider (which has the 6 core gen 8 i7) and encountered a setback, it is asking for a product key (I'll installing this from E2B. I plan to use KMS Pico to activate if I can get the is installed, it be gone through my Bios and check to see if anything could be inhibiting the install. I also read that I might need a no key.XML file but I haven't found one dose anyone know where I might track this file down. And have I over looked anything that could be stopping the install or is this process "locked"
LTSB contains an ei.cfg, so it never will ask for a key at initial setup from boot. KMSpico is just as abandoned as MTK, use a more uptodate KMS tool, like KMS_VL_ALL. I don't know if the CPU is supported by LTSB, seems to be so.
Hi, I'm back...Sorry for the delay. I noticed when I tried to update Windows normally through Windows Update it would restart and roll back changes. That's what it was doing to the Pro features rolling them back and staying on Windows 10 Home. So, I reinstalled Windows 10, tried updating (it worked), and then used my eBay key and it activated. I'll report back if I have any problems. Thanks for the help!
There's a better program to use to update windows. It's wumt, this program allows you to chose which updates you will install and which you won't plus you can stop driver updates. And it should not cause you to have to rollback, I've never had to rollback because of update failure because of wumt
Where Do I find the ei.cfg? I'm using a I so of LTSB also I was thinking of using a IMG.part hope I spelled that right.

How else dose one learn, if one dose not ask question? Last I checked this is an information forum ment to inligthen people, so on that principal it maters not where the question is asked only that it is asked. That is where you are partly correct you have to create it in order to install in uefi otherwise you are stuck using legeacy mode. Why you would have to create a fat32 imgptn to install on uefi still makes no sense to me, however, this is the way it works.
you're coment about there being no imgptn, you must build it thru Easy2 boot in order to use it in a UEFI envorment, unless you like using Legeacy Mode for installing a windows Install.
