from scratch you mean clean install? I wouldn't preffer to do that! I got the pc 2 days ago and don't wanna format it so soon..
yes, I talk about a new installation. This is the most clean way to have a perfect system but you also can try to call MS first if they have a better solution. On the other hand you should have a backup partition where you can re-install the system if it failed sometimes though
Might be because of the key in the BIOS? Happened with my tablet too (Just gVLK / KMS'd that sucker though) PID.txt was recommended to bypass the embedded key and use the one in PID.txt in Sources folder instead Not sure if that works for upgrades or just clean installs though
if that is an upgrade key it won't work unless you install 8 home, upgrade to 8 pro and then upgrade or do the genuine ticket route
I mentioned calling ms because a clean 10 Pro install on a 10 Home system (oemm for 10 Home) with the 10586 iso gives the problem of only installing the edition which is readout thru the bioskey. I'm curious how the ms service employee is going to workaround it (ei.cfg or ?????)
no it's a retail key for a clean installation of w8 pro! @Paul I tried calling M$ but today is holiday here in Austria and they're not working. I'll try it tomorrow. Thank you for your answers guys!
Where is Xinso when you need him? Or abbodi1406, i can't imagine one of them couldn't solve this by a bunch of slmgr commands to go back to the generic gvlk and than put in the 8.0 pro key and reactivate (i would learn a lot from it).
