You need to use user accounts and add them to Windows in the Credential Manager. Microsoft disabled the use of guests accounts, including accounts without password which is insecure and are a thing of the past. Which has been explained in a blog post.
If i was using guest accounts that may actually apply but iam not. (also microsoft hasn't removed guest access yet its just on the drawing board for windows 10) I didn't say it was asking for a password i said it is not letting me map them. It would seem the whole network share access in windows ten is quite broken with people not even able to see home groups correctly.
no problems here....make sure all the computers your trying to map are first register in the same home group password.......if u are diss join and re-join them all again....see if that takes care of the issue.
Not talking homegroup but rather a networked freenas computer sharing cifs shares. EFA11 looks like you got it there. They certainly made it a confusing mess this time around.
I too have had issues of not being able to connect to my FreeNas drive. I don't use guest shares or Homegroup, so you are not alone. I haven't looked to far into it as I expect the next release of windows 10 to be coming soon, and I hope that this problem is resolved then.
