Hi guys has anybody run into the problem of the installation going into a infinite loop, have tried the upgrade path and clean install, every other build installs perfect, have tried disc and usb installs all fail,am back to10125 which runs great on my system,if anybody has run into this problem and fixed it please help thanks in advance,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Do you mean a loop starting from the first welcome screen? I faced this I have just let the PC running overnight w/o inserting any info on the first screen. The following morning everything worked.
If I do a clean install it goes to the format screen install, and loops from there.if I upgrade it installs but on the final creen after rebooting it goes in to the loop, never mind will wait for the next build, must admit am liking Windows 10
network cable was unplugged strange one eh might have a play today again..lol thanks for replies guys....forgot to say I got a blue screen at the end with recovery options 1-9 so something aint quite right
Same thing with me. Reboot loop when upgrading or fresh install from usb. I disconnected everything , even my hard drives but no luck. Maybe is the system configuration , i'm on p45 chipset with q6600 and 4gb ddr2.
Guy's, check in BIOS which is the Boot-HDD! Set that HDD, which should get Windows 10 installed on it, as Boot HDD! Then at the reboot, have the DVD and/or USB Stick with the bootable Windows 10 inserted or connected and use use in that BIOS Boot Process the Hot key, mainly F11 (or. F2, F8, F10, F12 depend on your Mainbord) for the the BIOS Boot Manager up and running and chose here the Drive with the W10 Media/ISO for to boot from. Start the install and on the next automatic boot while installing, it will boot from HDD and continue the install process. That is normally the way how that works.
^ Completely unrelated post, as usual there is nothing wrong with the install process, and i believe they are not that naive to not knowing how to install Windows! the issue is within the edition, i faced it likewise on build 10074 singlelanguage and 10122 pro all i could come up with is using an answer file (unattend.xml) to make the install process fully unattended however after install, all modern apps are not working at all, so the system is not useable unfortunately, setup logs and event log weren't helpfull in knowing the cause
Well is there I known real fix for this? I got it first when I made an ISO from an ESD and so I thought I messed it up and then got the same thing after installing 10122. I have wasted more time on Windows 10 than any other Windows release and I Beta tested all of them from Vista on.
This build is completely different than any other previous builds, I had installed the same device drivers for all builds, but this one gave me no sound by default, I had clean installed twice, same result, then I went into speakers property and select 16 bit, finally get the sound working, any previous builds worked with 24 bit sound by default. Upgrade from 10122 also resulted in many websites didn't work.
In case in which we all using an and from MS supplied original .esd files (which could/should be checked with an valid SHA1 SUM) there shouldn't be such differences. If those there are, than it simply means that the original file has have edited and or changed somehow if the problem isn't as I described in my post. We had such problem whithin some friends and even with an staff of my company, and all had set the BIOS Boot Device to the Setup Media (DVD and/or USB). Not one has had any problem with unattend.xml files! And we using direct downloads from Microsoft only, strictly original! Even not from MDL if we couldn't compare the SHA1 Checksum!
Sorry to bring this back but might help somebody,i had the same trouble with 10134 the latest build, did the same endless loops,so i replaced the boot files with the ones from 10125 and everything installed perfectly, this is not my fix just a heads up for people who are having problems..............
