Ive installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit like 5 times now, was having blue screens and stuff before, and was told to update to SP1, which i didnt even know about (head in the clouds) now im trying to install it and it seems damned near impossible. Ive tried downloading every possible windows update, still doesnt show me SP1... its not installed, only updates installed are the net framework 4 SP1 things. i even downloaded the 3.5 gig install for SP1 or whatever from M$ and loaded it onto a usb drive and tried to install/upgrade using that, and the thing told me, that i had to have SP1 installed first?! idk im stumped. any help? Ive also used Daz Loader to activate windows.
If you downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 install iso from this website's links, and installed using that SP1 is already included. It's always best to do a completely fresh install and reinstall all the apps etc that need installing on a blank drive, which is why if you have installed on a mechanical HDD (like a 2TB drive) that you should partition it first. Don't cut the partition should though, you would probably want at least 100GB on the system partition.
Yeah, im new to this site so i was having difficulty understanding the processes that come with those new ISO's, its starting to look like that its not only the easiest but the only way, every time i click on the download link from M$ it send me to some no where link thats missing. Like it "knows" >.> and just btw, i used a windows 7 disk that i got froma torrent like, litterally when windows 7 came out. It came with Hazzor and Daz's loader so thats basically how i found this site by googling daz
using windows 7 professional w/spu1 x86/x64 post one level up from this thread, downloading all the files and such, just still dont get where im supposed to get a key from
Right click My Computer and then click Properties. Near the top and slightly to the left you'll see "Service Pack 1" if the installation is indeed SP1.
