I recently buyed a Asus laptop X553SA, with Windows10 Home pre-installed. So because of the downside this OS has (telemetry... ). I wanted to install Win7-x64 Pro. I did some changes into the BIOS settings, like disable "Secure boot", I also format the harddrive, from GPT to MBR. So reinstalling Windows10 is not a problem, but when I try to install Windows7 x64 Pro i get a BSOD, at the beginning of the installation setup. Some error code 0x00000007. The BIOS is the most recently there's available for this model. Anyone has some suggestion? Probably is this a driver issue. Camino
Try to disable AHCI and RAID mode in your bios (set to ATA mode), you could re-enable AHCI after installlation. windsman.
DVD or USB for installation ?? If You're using a USB, You do have it plugged in the USB2 Port and Not the USB3 Port ??
@windsman I tried to change this feature, but for some reason is this not possible to change it to another setting. @dre022392 This CSM, I already did enable it. @Bat.1 I didn't use the USB 3.0 port. Thanks for all your reply, but I've contacted the supportcenter of Asus. I hope they have a solution for this problem...
need to find ahci drivers and put in win 7 usb.. then load them during startup to not get bsod of ahci.
And what's with the Telemetry in Windows 7? For me, no difference! and I work with confidential data of my customers and my own company! Couldn't give the blame to MS (and any other company/Developer of OS/Software) if I'm not able to handle my data in a secure way!
@LatinMcG @windsman Thanks for this information, guys... I tried to DL these AHCI drivers from mega.nz but I get a warning, that this site uses a non valid security certificate. Any reason why I can't access this filesharing server? Camino
@windsman Thx for the extra link, so I can DL these AHCI drivers. So... next step, is slipstreaming it with toolkit and I hope I won't get this BSOD anymore.
I know this is a very old threat , but I have the same problem with the same laptop as camino. can u help me install windows 7 pls
I did mine is Use Lency SATA and then modified the registries to find AHCI after I place to change the bios, it works!!
