Can't Install Windows 7 on External Hard Drive

    Okay I guess I was not well informed but could not try as probably expected to install W7 on an external HD connected via USB.

    Since this is a website of genius and talented poeple I was wondering if there's a work around this issue :rolleyes:

    The message comes as :

    "setup does not support configuration of os installation to disks connected through a usb or IEEE1394 port.

    Windows must be installed to a partitition foramtted as NTFS."

    Plz Help..

    Hey man plz help me...
    I just brought a new USB harddisk, I tried to partion it via WIn7 but unable to do that..SO i do it with XP..nd now i want to install Win7 In it but it gives an error
    " Setup does not support configuration of or Installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port "..
