I have HP 8710p with bios version F.20 I try install XP on it but can't. When start from XP install CD i have "black screen with blinking cursor in left-top corner" after load drivers I also try run XP from USB (hirens boot CD or BartPE) but this computer can't start when on CD or USB is XP OS. I have disabled native mode for sata in bios I tested XP CD with added drivers for SATA but nothing helps How install XP ?
have you tried using wintoflash? i.e putting XP on a usb flash drive and starting install that way, cant remember if its F12 or F9 key you hit on post to select usb pen.
I have not tried yet wintoflash , but I will try ! Very strange to me is: "this computer can't run mini windows XP from hirens boot" I've never seen such a computer on the eyes "mini windows XP from hirens boot" allways works on all computers. I try downgrade bios to older version but it is imposible
