    hi,

I am trying to set up my 2 computers on my home network. The consist of 2 pc's one is a laptop and the other is a desktop. There names are Win-10-laptop and win-10-desktop on the same workgroup called HOME NETWORK. They are both on a wired connection using my router.

When i type from my win-10-laptop the following using cmd>run and ping win-10-desktop, it successfully pings that computer. When I type from my win-10-desktop, and pings successfully. Same goes with using the IP address for both as well.

Why is it that when i click on network icon on either computer, no PC's are listed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    TIA

you have to apply the solution in all the PCs that are connected to the network to make it work.

    Hi,

If 1 machine is asleep, will it show under network icon? If no, then your remedy is working very well so TYVM for the fix. :)
