Hello guys!!! i used "messenger reviver" in windows 8 for WLM 2012 and it worked perfectly but in windows 8.1 rtm "messenger reviver", don't work because WLM say it i don't know what i could do thanks
unless someone knows a fix here, your best option would be to contact the person/people who make messenger reviver and see if they have an update or plan to update.
and the answer: Greetings fellow Jonathan Unfortunately the only update will be to prevent anything other than 2009 from being installed on 8.1. I’ve spent countless hours trying to make 2011/2012 to work on 8.1 and it appears there is a compatibility failure in Messenger due to a change in how Windows encryption libraries work in Windows 8.1. Since I assume Microsoft won’t ever update Messenger again and they’re not about to give us the code, I don’t believe it can be fixed. I might look at it again when I feel compelled, but I’m afraid it probably will be a lost cause Jon
Thank you for the info, anyone else looking will be happy (well happy as in found info anyway, not happy happy) to find something here. Changes are coming and many are here for sure, there are more and will be more programs that will need updated or left behind as well I assume.
