Cant update to win 7 SP 1 Error:Code80073712

    Any ideas? Yes ive googled it and tried the repair thing and also the manual dvd iso. Same error everytime

    I guess I should have said I already downloaded and tried that. It still wont update. It gets more than halfway through then I get this error to be exact. ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT(0x80073712)

    Ive tried all of this except the InPlace Repair kb2255099 that DAz999 mentioned. I cant believe I'm going to have to re-install just for a stupid SP to work

    Run SFC /Scannow, then try to install the sp if that also doesnt work.. no idea :p google more or re-install
