CDIMAGE 2.53 and Windows 8 Images

    I see all the Windows 8 Builds have been created with CDIMAGE 2.53
    I've had a Google round with little success

    has anyone got an official copy of this 2.53 version

    i got one here but have to question its authenticity

    why dont you use oscdimg.exe that comes with winpe 4.

    If you want to create images that match msdn checksums (like with windows 7) you need cdimage2.53. The cdimage version info is included in the iso so the version needs to match for hash match. Manually changing that string after making the iso might also work though...

    EDIT: Hmm, from here there's this:
    CDIMAGE 2.53, Looks authentic at first, but im pretty sure it's a 2.54 edit

    I there actually is a real 2.53 used by MS. It's a fact that MS doesn't always use the latest version of cdimage they have for creating their iso's. I hope this is the case here too, as otherwise WZT might have created the images theirself with this cdimage version... Let's wait and see what the MDSN isos bring.
