cdimage vs oscdimg and their versions?

Discussion in 'Application Software' started by Deleted member 222776, Apr 27, 2017.

    Hello,

Could some explain to me what is the difference between cdimage and oscdimg? And why would I want to use one over the other? I know that older microsoft oses were built using older versions of oscdimg/cdimage but wouldn't the newest one 2.56 work just as well on all windows images?

    Thank you!

Yes, the v 2.56 of oscdimg/cdimage is the same version and cdimage is the same at the file oscdimg renamed.

As I recall oscdimg came with the newer ADK's and has a slightly different command line.
Both work the same & it doesn't matter which you use...

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
  3. Thanks guys, one more thing I'd like to ask:
In ADK, oscdimg is available as x64 and x86. Does it matter if I use oscdimg x86 to build a x64 image?
