Anyone was lucky installing XP on these Celeron NXXXX PC ? My PC Zotac Zbox with Cpu Celeron N2807 , Intel HD graphics , Bay Trail-M CPU, Bay Trail-M chipset. (Valleyview2) Get BSOD when installing or freeze without error Also it freezes up at random times even with windows 10 , it never did on windows 7.
I know but they are old post 2016 to 2019, now is 2023 maybe something has changed in the meantime ... Anyway i will dig into this driver , Universal 32bit Intel RST AHCI+RAID driver v11.2.0.1006 mod+signed by Fernando and new Universal 32bit Intel RST driver v11.2.0.1006 mod+signed by Fernando
I digged on W7 to see wich driver can be missing on XP, AHCI DEV_0F23, ACPI i see ACPI_HAL and PNP0C08 dont know if i'm right because could be also pnp0c0c but for my surprise i see TPM device DEV_0F18, what about XP and TPM ?
A seasoned cpu? From what I understand you need just to replace acpi.sys (to avoid error 7e) and set the right AHCI driver (to aboid error 7b) What about tpm? Nothing, disable it from the bios or just don't care about it.
I had it for free to replace a vintage 2006/2008 ASUS M2N running XP on RetroHardware AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+
You didn't get the joke. I'm typing on a Turion X2, from the XP era, right now (so criticize the age of a CPU is far from my intention) I' meant to reply to your sentence about not knowing if a trick valid in 2016 is still valid in 2023. Obviously it's valid, it's not like CPU are seasoning like a cheese....
I did get the joke , just wanted you to khow seasoned was my cheese, but not sure if there was a trick on 2016 i will play with AHCI tonight
Good to know, and congrats for the accomplishment but aside the academical interest is there anything for XP that takes advantage of it?
I'm not sure about Bitlocker, in Vista in require TPM device. In next XP2ESD will be newer TPM driver v6.1.7601.24564 (win7sp1_ldr_escrow.201230-2330) that supports version 2.0 already.
Updated AHCI driver, no more BSOD, it freeze but this time keyboard and mouse, i've had same kb/ms problem on another different Zotac BI324 with windows 7. (ZBOX-BI324 INTEL N3060 Braswell DP-HDMI-VGA Intel HD Graphics Supported OS Windows 7, 8.1 (64-bit), Windows 10 (32/64-bit))
May i need this for the usb freeze ? Microsoft QFE (KB921411) to address USB ports malfunctioning issue, and this is the file to use WindowsXP-KB921411-x86-ENU.exe ? XP2ESD should already have it installed ?
Check if your bios has the enable USB legacy mode (or something like that) in the BIOS. Also is better to use a usb 2 (port if any) or set some port to usb2 from the BIOS (If possible). If the above is not possible in your case, you need to integrate some modded USB3 drivers for XP in the ISO before setting up XP.
Nothing to do , used usb2 port , usb legacy in the bios , where i can find latest modded USB3 drivers for XP ?
