I tried the CH341A programmer with the 1.34 and 1.4 application version and I can't find my BIOS chip in the database. My chip is the MX25L12872F and the only "similar" chip I can find is the MX25L12873F, however, I don't know how similar these are... When I tried the 1.4 vesrion, it identified my chip as C2201817 and I was able to read the chip and make plus verify a backup bios with it. Does the ability to read and verify this chip qualify the 1.4 app version to do a proper bios update or would a wrongly (displays a different chip number than the one I have on my own chip) identified chip invalidate the backup as well as a future update? What other options do I have if the above is not valid? Can I download different databases somewhere or a newer application version?
