Hello! Can I change boot logo with my costumized logo in Windows 8 without UEFI system? Thanks you! If you opens bootres.dll with 7-zip you find 6 files with this names: winlogo1.bmp,winlogo2.bmp,winlogo3.bmp,winlogo3n.bmp,winlogo4.bmp,winlogo5.bmp. But i made a logo with the same dimensions but i cant save the image in dll.How can I do it?
You don't understood what I wanna do: I wanna change Windows 8 Logo from Boot Screen not from System Properties (When Windows 8 Boots).
Yes, you can force through your custom bmp in bootres.dll by modifying bootmgr. Last time I tried was with 8102 or 8250, can't remember. Same logic as in Windows 7 still applies, although slightly different.
The user means the windows logo when the system is loading up whilst is still loading in dos not the Bios logo.
don't see any reason to change anything here as I hardly see it when booting. So fast that it only shines or even doesn't on several machines. Some need to change every useless things instead of concentrating on the main thing
This because of UEFI specifications. The Winlogo will be overwrittin if there is some UEFI Table (always forget about the right description) like BGDT or something similar.
I was googling around, sorry about the ancient thread bump, but I figured this needed to be said, Check my sig. Requesting Lock.
