Mcp61pm-hm rev:2.2 (read directly on the motherboard of desktop computer HP Pavilion A6521.FR). The actual version on the mobo is 5.17 (phoenix BIOS). I asked for the v5.17 because when i search on HP for a bios update it didn't propose anything. I have read a lot of brick from other users. The desktop is not mine (owners are my parents). The shame from HP as many others oem is if the hard drive fail (and it fail very well) you did not have the reinstalling media. Finally after reading on HP Forum i decided to update the BIOS with 5.29 version. All work find following all advice concerning AWDFLASH procedure. For those who have the same issue as me, please try this mod: LatinMcG to make it .. make backup of it with awdflash from usb dos then use the award mod tool and select ISA.. done. or try 5.29 update=sp44500.exe http: / / www . mediafire . com / ?xrdvsd552ssv2h5 for DOS USB type flash.bat in dos
I have updated the bios to 5.29 with sp44500.exe. But I have slic 2.0. I tried to update the slic with the flash.bat file you have posted, but when I execute, awsflash says "insufficient memory" and I can't update. What can be the problem?. Any sugestion?
If I write "awdflash 529SLIC.BIN /cc/cd/cp/py/R" it returns to me "insufficient memory". Then if I try "awdflash 529SLIC.BIN /cc/cd/cp/py/Tiny/R" awdflash stands with the name of the file in the corresponding screen, but says "Input file name" and don't make anything and don't respond to the keyboard. Please, help me. How can I update the BIOS with the 529SLIC.BIN file?
