Checking for updates

    guys i just install windows 7 with out any issues, but is stuck WU Checking for updates is been over a hour and nothing, i re-booted still same issue, any good ideaso_O

    why don't you read existing threads? there are lots of threads with this thing on this forum's first page. if every windows 7 users opens the same thread, this forum will turn into trash. :death:

    dude i did read it, i d\l the tool from MS and did not fix it, the rest of the thread is people talking on how to remove the update to shut off MS win10 invitation.

    ok WU still not working i think this only works with ultimate and pro...is enterprise 7 still have support from MS:g:

    I have no WU issues on 7 overhere, maybe you can shutdown the windows update service at services.msc and then delete the folder called: "c:\windows\softwaredistribution", after it's deleted just start the windows update service again and the folder will be restored. Try WU again.

    If I need to install IE11, I install Windows 8.1 instead Windows 7.
    The same OS, but improved.

    I install IE and KB3102810 and WU found updates in 3 minutes.

    My laptop is designed for Windows XP.
