I think that even if the crap from china was equal to the one from the US (and I have some doubts about that), still the China crap would be less harmful for the western people. That said the Chinese Windows is still made in Redmond, not in Shenzhen.
It was made in Redmond yes, but in collaboration with Chinese government software engineers. They were given unprecedented access to source code and allowed to insert unknown, undocumented APIs. I cannot imagine that this version benefits anyone except the ruling party. And giving them access to the base source code has probably compromised the security of every other version of Windows 10 on the planet.
Compromise the security of windows is like killing a dead horse . I'm still feel safer if my data are stolen by a random chinese company rather than MS, Google or Apple.
Well put, if you live in a country with US influence like EU, use Chinese or Russian software, emails and such, the same applies for the other side. I live in EU, I use Russian emails, browser, so this Chinese 10 looks very interesting to me, I do not mind Chinese government spying on me.
It is suprising the number of people who would love the Chinese government to spy on them with an American all rather Microsoft made OS, yet carry rumour about the same program is being used to spy on them. I cannot help laughing at those who have been peddling false information on Windows 10 as being a spyware meant for NSA and the US government to watch on people privacy with little to nothing to support their claim.
