I noticed Chrome started to show last six search queries automatically, wth? How to fix this?

For me, that is always how it has worked.

I must say I have google.com.mx as my start page, so when I click on the button it always shows/showed without last six queries, until yesterday lol

Try to disable "Private Results", if you are logged into Google account or disable "Search Suggestions" and "Auto-complete" in Chrome settings.

@dhjohns That's not normal behavior, for me it doesn't show search history automatically.

You can change the omnibox behavior by the following flags:

    chrome://flags/#enable-zero-suggest-redirect-to-chrome
    chrome://flags/#omnibox-tail-suggestions
    chrome://flags/#omnibox-entity-suggestions
    chrome://flags/#new-omnibox-answer-types
    chrome://flags/#omnibox-ui-max-autocomplete-matches

All and each one where set to Default as expected.
Next, I disabled one by one testing each one at once and setting to Default if it didn't work.
None of them worked at all.

Guess you mean to change them all at once, fine but by "change" do you mean "disable"

@CHEF-KOCH Thank you man, it worked. Disabling ALL of them did it.
I wonder what changed in last Chrome version though, that forces me to disable all of them, even one of them. I never ever had to tweak any before.

This is getting weirder. Today I turned on my PC and laptop, opened Google Chrome and start page was normal, as expected. Then just by chance of curiosity I re-checked those flags again. Guess what, they were back to Default status, not Disabled like I left them yesterday, on both machines.

Even more weird, the start page is still normal as usual

This has something to do with sync/account settings, sadly I forgot which switch you need to switch. Better use Chromium anyway and stay with the 'no-sync' version, then login, reset all settings to default and you never will face any problems like this again.

Thanks, I understand. Yet I'm kind of concerned those flags returned to Default by themselves. Wth?
How did they do that? remotely? how?

I have the same problem with the new FireFox 57. It is really annoying

How is this a problem? This is expected behavior, and extremely beneficial.
