Hello do you think chrome will ditch windows 10 after october 2025, without taking into consideration the ltsb branch which is supported untill 2032 i think
In one thing I'm absolutely sure of - Google definitely won't ask for your opinion on this, so it's completely pointless to guess anything.
I highly think they will ditch 32bit support as soon as windows 10 comes to an end as seeing loads of things are dropping 32 bit support despite windows 10 not being eol until 2025 & has 32 bit support. Though wouldn't surprise me if somehow google cans 32 bit support earlier but hopefully not. For 64bit who knows there's a chance they will still keep it updated because windows 11 still uses the windows 10 kernel. So think that as long as windows 11 is still in support & they don't change the kernel then pretty sure 64 bit will hopefully still be supported on windows 10.
vista and xp lost support at the same time as vista simply wasn't worth continuing to support after it's eol. same with 8.x. support for 7 and 8.x. i wonder if it'll be a bit different this time. maybe chrome will drop support builds of windows 10 under a certain version number. we're already seeing this with a lot of programs, so i wouldn't be surprised if the chromium devs do so as well. it's very likely considering that windows 11 is and will probably always be very similar to 10 on a kernel level. maybe we'll see the requirements bump up to 21h2 or even 22h2. either that or 11 and 10 just get dropped at the same time. windows 11 was released when 10 was already like 6 years old. the final possibility which i think might happen is that 10 will just be too far away from 11 in terms of it's eol to continue supporting until 2031 or so when 11 loses support.
