clarification of win 8.1 builds and product key info

    hi all, just a few questions that hopefully someone can answer for me as im a bit confused by others answers to these questions.

    can you update from rtm to ga with updates from windows update and is it the same as if it was a retail disc?

    as my product key is embedded in bios, if it somehow changes can I restore it?

    1) Yes you can update from RTM to GA with Windows Updates

    2) The Product Key Embedded in the BIOS won't get changed unless you change the BISO Chip.

    Backing up is always a good thing, just follow the above link he has given to clean install windows 8.x on OEM systems
