Hi, i'm just wondering where the above tool 7ui/8ui.exe is originated from (it came packed along with that useless KJ Activator) and whether it is harmful or not ? Does anyone know ? Thank you in advance - great forum here.
Thanks to this forum I already got everything activated and learned a lot with reading ^^ That tool is just for the classic start menu. At first I thought maybe it's just something "official" like Classic Shell or so. Cannot find a virus in it, however analyzing that huge Folder mess with .vbs and .reg -with my limited knowledge- it seems to use its own modified (size mismatched) W7 Explorer.exe 6.1.7601.17514 and .dll, besides taking ownership of various files. Reason enough to stay away from this ...
Always download official Microsoft ISO's for your protection. If you want the start menu back, take a look at the link in my signature; there are tons of other alternatives out there but the one I'm recommending you is by far the best. A personal licence is $3 and you can use it on 2 computers as well.
