    Hello from Germany!

Im running into the following problem with all my DELL PCs/Laptops :-(

All DELLs are installed with the DELL SLP key and cert. All machines are shipped with original SLIC 2.1 at BIOS.

W7 64 bit professional is working perfect, also the upgrade to W10 was no problem. W10 is activated righrt after the upgrade process.

Now I want "clean installation, from the scratch" on this upgraded machines.
So I used the MS tool to download and create a bootable USB-pendrive. Works perfect. During installation I have to enter a w10 key. If I do nort enter a key, W10 is not activated afterwards and if Im going to use the W10 key from the upgrade - same problem... any workaround in this case?

    best regards

    peter

You need to skip adding the key. DO NOT ADD KEY, SKIP.

Here is my experience. Upgrade from W 8.1 Pro to W10 Pro = activation.

After a few days, do a "clean install", ignoring two requests for the activation key. At the end of the installation, W10 was not activated. I reboot, while activating internet, W 10 is activated. Since, everything works perfectly. Good luck !

You should be connected to internet and simply skip entering key; you should have a permanent activation.

    Good luck :)

The Enterprise version is not part of the free upgrade. Like MrMagic said, the PRO version is.

If it wasn't clear I did the "Daz path"(copyrighted). So I activated Win7 with Daz's loader, upgraded to Win 10 and did and an clean install. So if it still won't be activated, apart from KMS is there a way to activate Win 10?

    Ultimate = Pro
Matters not the method of activation

If the w10 upgrade has been successfully activated, the clean install of the same version should as well, except you've changed a major part of your hardware in the meantime.

Only if you made sure that the upgrade was activated. Just like YEN posted.

Example, Win 7 pro, activate with DAZ Loader, Run win 10 installer as UPGRADE, connect to internet, wait for upgraded win 10 to get activated, run update check. Now after upgrade is activated, you can clean install when ever you want. Do not add any key's when upgrading or clean installing. Use same win 10 installer to clean install.

The activation might take a day depending on Microsoft servers.
