Hello everyone and thanks :worthy:for the instructions and tips for testing windows. Although I do not like windows 8 and I had to make a shortcut for the off button to the linux way,I think :fear2:there will be no support Windows 7 and to be prepared: Is it possible to clone windows 8 already activated on another partition if it fails? :plane:

Native backup, Macrium Reflect Free, Acronis. Take your pick.

    I use Macrium.

I works since years with HDClone, a German tool (in English!), which are specialized for to clone HDD's, Partition's and also resized them if want and/or need.

no need of all that just goto "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows 7 File Recovery" and in left pane click on create a system image... the created image is an exact copy of ur current system

Sometimes it's quite useful to have an whole HDD cloned to an other one. Could not save time only, also "prevent' from "accidentely" delete an System Image or damage in any way. I really like "Hard copies" instead of "Soft copies"!

You don't need to explain to me what is well known and what I wouldn't use! See my answer above!

So if i understand correctly i can use that as a recovery disk and will be activated when restoring ?.

Sample: I activate my windows 8 right now and will do a full HDD backup, in 2014 i decide to use the backup. Will my windows be activated ? or do i need to re-activate it
