Hi everyone. I'm just wondering what I can do. The command prompt flashes and it looks like there is a list of text that QUICKLY scrolls down in a blink of an eye. This is just before the desktop icons show up on the start up. Any idea what could be the problem here?

it says that my post count must be higher than 20 to post images or links. There are two lines that are hihglighted in yellow. If I told you what they were would that help you?

Are you using any preactivated Win Version? What´s the name of that CMD file in autoruns at the bottom? What´s the complete path? That info isn´t readable.

Yes I am using preactivated Windows. The name is the CMD file is called "patcher updates Visual Basic Command Line Compiler" and the path is: C:\Users\samsung\AppData\Local\Temp\patcher\patcherUpdates.exe

Huih...what´s that. Never saw something like that.

First: i wouldn´t trust anything not being from MDL.

Seems to be CMD compiled to EXE, so it shows the CMD window when running. Can you open it with 7zip?

EDIT: Even when they did this to obfuscate their code it´s less than 'semi pro' to run it from there . Would do it myself fro Task Scheduler with SYSTEM rights and the user won´t ever notice it :D.

What you´re seeing at boot is most probably an activation script. That EXE you found seems to be compiled from a CMD script. Sometimes (in case it´s a simple self extracting archive) you can open it with 7zip, to look at the code.

Im sorry I am not sure on how to open it with 7zip. Thanks for your help, I don't want to frustrate you with my novice experience with computers.

It´s the problem with preactivated installs, where you don´t know what´s going on :D. As these files normally aren´t that big, you could upload to a hoster and PM me the link ;). I can check in my VM.

Was assuming this due to the forum section :D. Would be good to know the 'Edition', i.e. 'Professional', 'Ultimate`....
