    Hi @ All !!

Old DDR Module: 256 mb pc2100 CL 2.5 chip Samsung
New DDR Module: 512 mb pc 2100 CL 2.5 chip Samsung (2 modules: up to 1 GB max)

Before updating BIOS from KA.M1.34 (native) to KA.M1.60 (latest) this laptop booted up correctly with both "Old DDR module" and "new DDR module".

Now after updating to KA.M1.60 this laptop doesn't recognise other DDR than the old module (256 mb only):
with new modules the laptop doesn't boot -> 512 mb onboard or 512 + 512 onboard ... none.
So with only 256mb (shared with VGA) WindowsXP is unusable...

I have to downgrade with floppy, but i cannot find anywhere the old BIOS KA.M1.34 :mat: ...
so i thought that it may be possible mod and/or fix the latest bios KA.M1.60 to recognise "new module" to reach 1 GB (as the manual says)

    Can you help me ?

i am here for all other necessary info !!!:worthy:

    Update:
i tried with other bios downloadable but nothing to do ... they work only with 256mb module...
i tried also to open the latest bios with Phoenix BIOS editor but i receive an error: "An unsupported module class 'Q' was found at offset E859A, do you want to continue?" I said yes, but i am a noob here... maybe wrong editor ?

    can you help me ?

    thank you.
