does anyone know what mainboard this model has and if a bios mod is available for it please . I have been searching this site but so far no luck ,and starting to see spots . its only about 2 years old and the owner (a friend) wants to know if I can put win 7 on it for him ,I dont want to use a loader ,and would prefer a bios mod option. thanks
No, this model (as all the other 6x1x business notebooks) can NOT be modified by software, as the SLIC region is protected! You CAN program the chip in an EXTERNAL programmer (but needs to be un-soldered from the board - and not many would like to undertake the task) sebus
