i have a compaq mini 110c-1100dx with a bad flashed bios. I think I got a virus cause it was working till Mondayand then wouldnt boot. Says cmos checksum bad and reboots. I made the bootable usb and put the only bios.rom 110c I could find on it but it flashes then hangs using ctrl fn and lft arrow. Fan running full speed. I tried the instructions here how to get rom from exe. I dl the bios from compaq and when I right click and extract here, I get 4 files. The only one that is 1mb is still an exe. How can I get the right rom for this model? Frisco1234
It is not necessary to make a bootable USB. Just rename bios file into AMIBOOT.ROM and place it to FAT formated USB. Plug the USB into your 110c and power on. The bios will activate recovery itself.
