AC Adaptor has been replaced DC Jack has been replaced Things I have tried. 1. Taking out battery and power lead and holding pwr button for 1min 2. Reseating ram 3. Taking CMOS battery out for 10mins 4. Removing Hard Drive The Caps Lock flash and the Scroll Lock is also flashing, constant...... on and off but quite slowly on and off. Any suggestions appreciated before I start to strip this laptop down again...... TIA Zorg EDIT* According to the HP site it is the CPU I will try to reseat the CPU and report back.
it may be a long shot, but could your cmos battery be dead? on 2 different occasions i had similar issues and thats what it ended up being. after i chased my tail for hours upon hours.
