Compaq Presario v5000 BIOs Recovery.

    Well I trired to update my BIOs but the update crashed and bricked my notebook. I know that it uses Pheniox BIOS and that you can recover it from a USB floppy drive but I can't seem to get it to work. It reads from the floppy like it should but the notebook never returns back to normal.

    At least post in correct format also nothing funny about someone with bricked computer:(

    Sorry you took it wrong. The happy face was for encouragement. Don't have enough post's to allow me to give the complete url ( I tried pasting it) so I thought that I could point him in the right direction where he might get some help from reading that picticular post.They seem to be the same type and brand of laptop.
