Sorry guys but I'm a complete noob at all this. I want to install W2012 Essentials. I read the XDELTA thread explaining how to do a XDELTA conversion from the trial version to the MSDN version.

However, I presume I still need a product key for the MSDN version? How do I get one of those? Or is there some other way I should activate?

    Thanks

DL'ing eval and putting patch takes more time than downloading original MSDN with CR disc. :D

OK - I'm still confused. I'm using the "MSDN" ISO and installing with Intelligent Provisioning onto a gen8 microserver. However, it still asks for a Product Key at install. Presumably I use the (6 month) trial key provided by Microsoft at this stage, and then I should try the Windows Loader utility linked above? If so, why do I have to use the MSDN install iso? Does Windows Loader not work with the trial version?
