i have a toshiba satellite a305-s6905 running windows vista and have run into a bit of a snag. my 2 yr old decided to play with it and somehow enabled a bios password not only to get into bios but to boot the computer itself. is there any way i can bypass this? is it possible to flash the bios update from toshiba's website via usb? i have done quite a bit of reading on here for information on how to flash during boot using hot keys but none seem to work so far. fn +esc, windows key + b didn't work either. toshiba's bios update said to hold U during power up from a usb drive but that didn't work either, it was formatted fat32 any help would be greatly appreciated p.s. it uses the insyde h20 bios as well
thank you for your response, i am fully aware of this site and it's method but unfortunatly i cannot get it to produce a hash as it shuts down automatically after the 3rd attempt. i am stuck between a rock and a hard place with this one. looks like it will most likely end up as a paperweight at this point.
